Srinagar, June 30 (KNO) : Keeping in view the safety of Yatris, the Shri Amarnathji Yatra remained suspended today because of landslides, slippery tracks and shooting stones caused by incessant rainfall. The Yatra remained suspended on both the Pahalgam and Baltal routes.

Governor N. N. Vohra, Chairman, Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board directed Sh. Umang Narula, Chief Executive Officer that in the prevailing weather conditions the track conditions be closely monitored and got repaired before allowing the movement of Yatris.

The concerned agencies should be kept on alert to promptly restore the tracks for the safe movement of Yatris. CEO reported that very limited Heli Services had operated on Neelgrath- Panjtarni sector today. At the end of the third day of Shri Amarnathji Yatra 587 pilgrims paid obeisance at the Holy Cave.
